Policy implications and synthesis (Work Package 5)

Under Work Package 5, project results will be summarized and synthesized with specific emphasis on providing results relevant to European and global policies on contaminants, adaptation to climate change, and human health. The work will bring together and assess the overall work of the project with a focus on the main question of the project, namely, ‘What is the influence of climate change on human exposure to long-range transported contaminants and associated health effects in the Arctic and selected areas of Europe?’

To achieve this, an internal project monitoring and evaluation approach will be developed and applied with the main aim of establishing a system for ensuring that results of the research activities will contribute to the overall objectives. Furthermore, the work package will also extract, organize, and make available key datasets from existing databases generated in the project.

The procedure for continuous follow-up of project objectives, expected results, and deliverables will be applied in close association with the project management in Work Package 1.

Work Package 5 is led by John Munthe, Swedish Environmental Institute (IVL), working together with the Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) and the Institute Jozef Stefan (JSI), and assisted by the leaders of Work Package 2, 3, and 4.
